Connect Website Visit us on the web at www.atlantavineyard.com/prayer Praying for AVC ministries Women's Ministry by Lu Allison (Women's Ministry Director, lu@allisonplace. com) Give Him Praise! • Luane Thomson (Missions)—God is simply amazing! We are thrilled that we were not forced to cut any of our individual missionaries due to the recent financial situation. God made a way where there seemed to be no way!  I praise God for the strong Mission Bridge leadership team He has brought together.  Locally, one of our refugee dads, Rustam, got a job with a Christian contractor.  We think God has something good in mind! • Darlene Penner (MOPS)—God is using our speakers to draw a number of guests to MOPS!  Please pray they will feel connected when they arrive. • Adam Hoar (Re:vision)—People are stepping up more as volunteers; we've had 4 more committed people join us in the last month. Close your eyes and imagine for just a moment with me.  Picture yourself entering the woods on a footpath     that ends in a lush verdant clearing.  On the other side you see several other footpaths coming from other directions.  In the very center of the clearing  stands an old cast cement fountain.  It's about seven feet tall and has three spouts rushing forth with cascades of water that splash below into a basin.  The basin is lined with mosaic tiles set into pictures of gathered women.  The fountain is quite old but you know it is very strong with its wide base.  The edge is sculpted and decorated by a carved vine design that has lasted the years. From behind, you hear a noise and turn to see another woman coming along the same footpath you took. She enters the clearing carrying an old wooden bucket and approaches the fountain.  At the same time, another woman steps into the area from the opposite path and approaches the fountain with a pottery pitcher.  Each fills her container to the full, then, nodding a smile to you, heads back down her path. Suddenly you become aware of many women, of all ages, coming along the paths, each one bearing her own container.  Each container is very different.  Some are large.  Some are small.  Some are very delicate;      one has a tea cup and another a wine glass.  Each container seems to reflect the individual.  Each woman leaves with her container full. You stand there, just taking it all in.  Then, you realize that you have no container.  You have no way to take this water back with you when you return to the world outside the clearing.  All at once, it seems like you know the solution.  You turn and approach the fountain, feeling the mist touch your face and that, it itself invigorates you.  Then suddenly, with unabashed abandon you thrust your mouth under the spout and drink your fill.  You are quenched!  Your need is met!  You are satisfied!  And, you know you will come back for more, and especially, with your own container. This vision describes the heart of the Women's Ministry here at AVC.  It is our hearts' cry that each woman would come to our fountain and leave with her soul satisfied.  Our commitment is to honor each woman's individuality, and the different stages and needs represented by the many women in our church. Our vision statement is "The Atlanta Vineyard Women's Ministry exists to provide a menu of activities that nurture the varied spiritual appetites represented in our body and to encourage women to reach out and strengthen the faith of our sisters all over Atlanta".    This year we  will endeavor to offer opportunities each month for them to 'come to the well"!  Team members are: Lu Allison, Anne Crist, Melanie Patton, Kathy Carnahan, Patti Benjamin, Elsa Liebenberg, Kristen Sykes,  Jill Collinge, Darlene Penner, and Marie Middleton.
